I had to detox from all the muck in the industry to get answers. So I stepped away from an industry I love because I couldn’t be the problem. I decided I'd only come back as the solution in a big way.
Then, finding answers to the hard question changed everything.
What can people do if they’re stuck, have given up, or their identity is shook?
What if they've lost trust?
What if they've lost the confidence to use their skills?
I realized these are moral injuries...
Injuries to the soul
Regretting spending $1000s on low-quality courses
And the shame that follows
Exploited by so-called coaches, more injuries follow
Feeling dehumanized, commodified, utilized for revenue
Manipulated by imposters that devalued you
Believing their method isn't broken

These moral injuries are the roots of Imposter Syndrome– they don't belong to the injured.

It’s like this– a subpar coach installs Imposter Syndrome Malware in a person's psyche.
And the person thinks the virus is their actual thoughts and beliefs– they have no idea they can delete it.
This is a perfect description of a Fake Trust, Broken Promise Trap– but what is it exactly?

This was done to you, it's the virus entry point– and it was never your fault
First, they manufacture trust and connection– they don't earn it.
Dazzle you with things:
They manufacture trust with shiny objects– a beautiful website, branding that’s sparkling, professional photoshoots, IG pics on a boat in the Caribbean, income bait: I made $25k in 10 days, and so on.
They need you to believe they’re successful.
They need you to believe they’re credible.
They need you to believe they’re high-quality.
They need you to assume what they’re selling is high quality, too.
Dazzle you with words:
They manufacture connections via inspiration and motivation
They are masters of feel-good lingo, unique-self talk, and inspo
Dopamine Leeches exploiting your neuro…
...chemicals to get you in their funnel
Embrace the process, step into your power, embrace your oneness
No talk about fundamentals, systems, or business development
Gaslighting your mental with mindset inspo
Make no mistake, it’s all intentional
Tactics, prophylactics, psyop-contraceptives
Strategic objectives where any word will do
To prevent you from seeing the truth
They need you to believe in them.
They need you to believe y’all are spiritually aligned.
They need you to believe what they believe.
They need you to feel what they feel.
They need you to lose yourself.
They need you to believe ‘not believing’ in them = you not believing in yourself.
Doubting them = you doubting yourself.
Doubting yourself is the first moral injury domino to fall.
1- Distrusting your hesitation, doubts, skepticism, and instincts...
2- Seeing your skepticism and instincts as limiting beliefs or mindset blocks...
This is the first bit of malicious code installed by the Imposter Syndrome Malware.
And that first moral injury domino to fall- what causes it exactly?
Your Instincts Were Never The Problem
I think the only way that first moral injury can occur is if...
We don't take our hesitation, doubts, skepticism, and instincts at face value. Once we 'lose' discernment, our own agency– we're susceptible to attack.
We don't actually 'lose' our own agency– we're just trapped from using it.
Disabling our defenses is key for Fake Trust, Broken Promise Traps to work.
Ignoring our inner alarms– skepticism, doubts, and instincts leaves us unprotected.
Remember, they need you to lose yourself.
They need you to see skepticism and doubts as playing it small.
They need you to see hesitation and instincts as a scarcity mindset.
They need to manipulate and convince us not to use use our own agency.

To know that hesitation is not procrastination– it's protection.
Skepticism is not cynicism– it's constructive curiosity and critical thinking.

How The First Bit Of Malicious Code Gets In
The initial Imposter Syndrome Malware sequence usually plays out like this:
1. They manufacture trust and connection– they don't earn it. This leads to...
2. False intimacy and alignment– getting people to believe in them, believe what they believe, and feel what they feel. This leads to…
3. Spiritual bypass tactics: Getting people to feel it’s fate-actional, not transactional– it’s a calling, not buying– it’s destiny, not money– it’s transformation, not manipulation.
4. Psyop contraceptives: While we’re caught up in believing, feeling, and trusting, they subtly hijack our discernment– our agency. (Know this: You didn’t willingly give up your agency. You didn’t consciously hand over your discernment.) This leads to…
5. The first moral injury: Distrusting our inner alarms and believing that doubting them = doubting ourselves.
6. The next moral injury is believing our mind is the enemy. We think we have limiting beliefs, mindset blocks, a scarcity mindset, or we’re playing it small.
Everything above is the first bit of malicious code installed by the Imposter Syndrome Malware– but what about the rest of the code?

And So Does Your Growth
Now you know...
The roots of Imposter Syndrome don’t belong to you.
You know you can delete the malware that was installed.
You know what caused the first moral injury domino to fall.

Rock Bottom Story Strategy:
They exploit vulnerability, empathy, and trust– as leverage to make money.
(You thought they were transparent, real, and caring– they betrayed your trust.)
The High Buy:
They give people secret tips, a fake 50% discount, and a false 48-hour deadline– to get people high off fight or flight chemicals.
(You spent your money in good faith– they used deception to get money under pressure, not clarity.)
Delivery Okie-Doke:
Their course always works, the content is high quality, and they give real coaching support– is misleading marketing.
(You log in excited for the experience, expecting clarity, and solutions– but got outdated content, overwhelm, and no real support or clear path.)
Blame-Shifters:
When people voice concerns about the Delivery Okie-Doke, they shift accountability, and gaslight people– embrace the process, what would future you do, fix your mindset, you’re just in the dip, baby dip.
(You try to figure out why you’re stuck in a rut, seriously confused, and assume it’s a broken mindset– but no amount of ‘mindset fixes,’ 'trust the process,' or 'just do the work' can overcome a substandard coach, a mediocre course, and a broken method. You are not broken, their method is.)
The Realist's Perspective
The Fake Trust, Broken Promise Trap is predatory by design.
These unethical, subpar coaches aren’t just selling a product or service.
They sell a highly calculated trap, and the math always ends up mathing like this:
When clients/students/customers fail, they will blame themselves– not the unethical, so-called coach, not the low-quality course, not the broken method.
To keep their reputation intact, the unethical coach will destroy your trust and your identity– over and over, as many times as it takes.
WHY?
Their whole business is predicated on their reputation –their image, their facade.
They will do anything to keep the truth from coming out.
WHY?
The business value is their image, their narrative– their so-called rep.
Not real coaching support, not high-quality courses, not true business principles and fundamentals, not clear, proven methods, and excellent client experiences.
In the end, you end up holding on to what doesn’t belong to you– as if it’s who you are.
You didn’t fail–they failed you.

Now, I’ve been morally injured by this industry too. And I know from experience a detox is necessary for recovery and building again. I’ve journalled about it and it’s kind of long for this love letter.
But I want to give you some insight– so here’s the short version.
What Happened to Me in the Industry...
Is How This Framework Came to be
They paid me to be in the room.
I spent years on the inside of the industry building from the inside, out. I coached students, authored lesson content, created frameworks, wrote sales scripts, sales copy, email campaigns… whole funnels.
I developed systems, built processes, wrote SOPs, generated revenue- the juicy kind– no ad costs, no lead gen, no marketing– just high ticket $10k sales from current students on a live call.
I did biz dev from many angles and created and implemented processes, products, and profit levers to stop the bleeding and increase profit margins.
I had standards that others didn’t, I put poeple first when others put profit first, and my facial expressions about unethical B.S. eventually turned into fully spoken advocacy and accountability moments.
Having standards, ethics, and a mouthpiece in rooms that didn’t want them cost me nothing, taught me something, and gained me everything.
Well, I just remembered it did cost me something. I had anxiety for the first time in my life– the weird stomach feeling, followed by heart palpitations, then a head rush that sometimes turned into a headache instantly.
Did they question my character? Yes. Did they gaslight me? Yes. Did they weaponize my good intentions? Yes. Did they DARVO me? Yes.
I initially felt it cost me nothing because I didn’t believe the gaslights, internalize what they weaponized, or absorb their lies as truth. I knew my character, spoke the truth, stood up for myself, knew my intentions, and had receipts to back it all up. I called them out on their B.S. as well.
So while the cost wasn’t to my character and my identity was still intact, I didn’t get away unscathed. My body kept the score and my body said no by way of anxiety.

I worked in a coaching program for several years and grew to love the students. When I wrote my exit letter to the members from my heart, I was gaslighted and DARVO'd– typical Fake Trust, Broken Promise Trap tricks. Why? The guru protected their rep over truth and accountability but their tricks didn't work this time. Period.
I left the room and did a personal biz detox.
